New Bible Study Begins on January 15, 2012

Here is what Max Lucado says about his study of Luke:  Ata some point we've asked, "Who is Jesus?"  What is the meaning of His teachings?  Why do I follow Him?  Is it really true?  Luke, a doctor, searched for the truth.  Not content to merely accept what others said, he had to know for sure.  So he dug deeper.  He asked questions and when he found his answers, he could not keep them to himself.  This letter to a friend is filled with discoveries; the truth, the facts, the stunning life of Jesus.  Luke's powerful words are an encouraging reminder . . . a path to seeing Jesus as never before.  Lucado's studies are approachable and insightful.  Join the adult study each Sunday at 9:30 AM beginning on January 15, 2012.

I AM
the bread of life
I AM
the light of the world
I AM

I AM

Prayer Partners:  Aldersgate has been known from the beginning as “the church with the warm heart” and indeed, we are proud to retain that association.  We are also known as “a praying church” with prayer at the center and flowing out from the center.  Like the founder of the Methodist Church, our hearts are continually warmed by our worship times together…leading us to service.  Our e-mail Prayer Partner Ministry is an effective and meaningful way to keep our people and all people and situations in God’s loving presence.  You are invited to join us!  We are entrusted with confidential information at times, and our prayer requests are for that and not as an information sharing means of communication.  There are times, we may not know the whys of our prayers and we may not even have the names…but God knows and that is all that is needed. Your life will be richly blessed by praying for others, and e-mail is a most effective and quick way to communicate a need or a celebration.  If you would like to participate, please contact Joanne Snook at snook71@verizon.net and you will join about forty others in this important Aldersgate ministry of service.
